The Scream 2025 Series, at Ship Shape 2, Gallery X New Bedford

In May of 2025 I participated in an exhibition sponsored by the Ernestina Morrissey tall ship restoration project, in New Bedford, MA. Artists were invited to choose some bits and pieces from the ship left after the restoration and turn them into ART. I was drawn to these round wooden parts of the rigging, known as triple dead eyes, or goats heads. Due to the current state of insanity our government is in, I felt inspired by the deadeyes to revisit Edvard Munch's famous Scream paintings, completed just before WW1. I complete 7 pieces and a few posters. Two of them are part lighting fixtures, another serves as a mirror and key hook.

Assemblages

Between 1994 and 1999, during much of the time I lived in France, I discovered assembages and put together a series that I called Continuums. This period culminated in the Spring of 1998 when I was invited by owner, David Mackley to be the Artist in Residence at the Rochester Recycling Park, Rochester, MA. Following the stay and before returning to France, I showed the work at the Beachmoor Restaraunt and Inn, received a fair amount of press and sold quite a few pieces. Here are some samples of that series:
